Here's to hoping recent fire victims can also be a Phoenix and rise from the ashes. I've never had to deal with loss from a fire. I'm gonna donate my profits from this listing sold before 11/18 to recent California fire victims.
Superwash Merino/Nylon Handdyed gradient fingering yarn. Dyed in a fabulous ombre gradient by me from natural white to yellow to orange to red to cranberry. You will receive the yarn as a center-pull ball. Price is for one ball. However, the 4 balls currently available were knit 2 held together before dyeing and dyed together, so they match. You can alternate them to create one longer gradient. Since they start at natural white, you can add skeins of natural to make a larger project.
This colorway was inspired by the Phoenix shown during a "dyers challenge". I LOVE IT!
I start by knitting up a panel of fingering weight yarn then dye the knitted blank with professional acid dyes. Therefore, due to the nature of the dyeing technique, any of my gradients may have a heathered look, giving interest without fancy stitches.
The two skeins listed at a discount with one knot will not have a break in the gradient, but will have one knot in the light yellow area. I had a stray spec of red dye. Save a few bucks if you don't mind weaving in an extra end.
Colorway: Rise of the Phoenix
Fiber Content: 85% Superwash 19.5 micron Merino / 15% nylon
Weight: 100 grams
Length: 400 meters (437 yards)
Yarn Thickness: 4 ply / Fingering
Please keep in mind that colors will vary slightly monitor to monitor.
Care: Items and garments made from this yarn should be hand washed in cool water with mild soap. Or you may machine wash on gentle cycle. I would recommend air drying.
